I have noticed that recently when opening Waze in CarPlay that the search function has vanished. I have my favorites but not the little magnifying glass search tool. So what I have to do i open up a favorite, then end the ride and then the magnifying glass will show up on my CarPlay screen. Is there a way to fix this or is something else going on. Thanks.

I just came back to the forum to search for this issue and otherwise complain - it’s a real pain. The search recent destinations only appears once a saved destination has been selected. But most of my frequent destinations are routinely at the top of the recents list and way down the saved list if present at all.
I am running the latest version of Waze on iOS 18.3.1. If it matters I had the same issue on both an iPhone 13 mini and iPhone 16e. Not sure when exactly it started but I bet it correlates with an update to the app.
Please fix this!
