I dont recall the cross streets in Aspen Hill. That is why I report them in the app. Those are not mobile units. I passed a mobile unit this morning, but i posted that as a police so it will show for others.
I am having the same problem. There are several speed cameras on Ritz Way/Powder Mill Road in Beltsville, MD (same road) one shows up the other two don’t, I keep reporting them and when I remember to check the map my reports aren’t there for me to approve…
Waze has disabled it where we can no longer report cameras from the app. If you need to add a camera it will need to be done in WME. If you need help in adding it please check the link below or another editor could add it for you if you are uncomfortable adding it yourself. https://wazeopedia.waze.com/wiki/USA/Cameras
OK, I’m sure that makes sense to someone but if I spot a camera trailer and report it, I may or may not remember its exact location hours or days later when I remember to edit. In any case thanks for mentioning it otherwise I would have just been frustrated.
I never got an alert that the speed camera was there. Did I mess something up? I know that I won’t get an audio alert unless I am speeding (which I disagree with but that’s how it is) but the cameras didn’t show on the map at all.
I also re-reported the camera westbound and do not see the unapproved camera on the map.
There are two things you need to check with a RLC.
Does it have a speed set? If it does, then it will only give you an alert if you are exceeding that speed. For that reason, in the UK, we set the speed for all RLCs to 0, even if they can measure speed as well.
Does it have a speed set? No, you’re not having deja vu! When you create a RLC, although it says the speed is zero, WME is lying. It’s actually unset. You need to bump the speed up and then down to zero again and save, otherwise it won’t alert. The URO+ script adds an info popup for RLCs that will point out the unset speed.
