I understand I am now supposed to see the speed limit in a circle next to my speedometer. I don’t have that as an option, in fact I don’t have the speedometer setting at the top level of Settings, as the instructions state I should see. My speedometer toggle, on/off, is still listed in Settings >> Display & Map.
I have tried deleting the app several times, and have rebooted prior to re-installing. Still, no speed limits and the speedometer is not listed at to top level of Settings.
Any suggestions on getting this to work?

Speed limits are only live (“live” meaning visible) in a certain number of states. What state are you in, primarily? It may be one that hasn’t gone live yet.
If you do happen to be in a state where speed limits are supposed to be live, I believe I read recently on here that there was a bug affecting the display of speed limits in states where they were supposed to show up. However, it was limited to a certain number of accounts but we’ll cross that bridge once we get to it.
The speed limit feature is not working, i can not select this option. I am in Belgium. I am using unfortunnaly a windows phone. Does any one know what the problem can be?
As it has been said elsewhere there is an issue affecting some accounts that don’t have the speed limit feature working fully in regions where it should be.
Staff said it should be solved before the weekend.
However if you are in a country or US State where the feature is not yet enabled it is completely normal for you not to see it, you should then get in touch with your community of map editors for your country and ask them about the implementation’s status/progress.
I recently traveled to Illinois and North Carolina and the speed limit showed when visiting those states. So, the issue is related to Florida. As of today, this is still an issue.
I live in California and have an iPhone 6 Plus (iOS 9.3.2). Today I drove from Sacramento to the Bay Area. I had previously set exceeding speed limit alerts and they worked just fine. On the return trip they did not work at all and now I can’t even find the setting. I do have a Speedometer setting under “Display & map” but it only turns on/off the current speed display. According to Google/Waze help the other speed related options should be there. Not on my device. I would appreciate any explanation. Many thanks.
I’ve noticed that it is not working all the time either. Seems to be an issue as the app is loading. I have found that if I restart the app then normally it fixes the issue.
Thanks for your input. Actually, I opened up the app this morning to find that all the speedometer options were in place again with my choices. Who knows how long this will last, but as of this minute it seems to be working as it should. I did try restarting (even re-installing) the app yesterday. Didn’t work for me. A friend also suggested a soft reset on the device.
