Street view jumping to another area is sort of still happening.
Completed some edits, including accessing WME street view, in Mossley Hill Road Liverpool (here). 15 minutes later tried to access street view im Greenford London (here). While WME stayed over the Greenford London location, where previous to this version release it would’ve jumped to the Liverpool location, the displayed street view imagery was still of the previous Liverpool location.
So, doesn’t jump to old location any more, but street view image offered is not of the requested location.
Thank you for the comment and for the additional testing. Does the issue happen with scripts disabled or/ and on other browsers (Chrome is preferred)? Could you please check when you have a chance?
As pasciakd mentioned, while WME no longer shifts the map unless you interact with street view, street view occasionally displays the location used on the previous attempt rather than the location I want to use it at. It does not occur on every use, but it happens enough that it is an annoyance and time-consuming since it requires refreshing the editor.
As mentioned in the other thread, the bug you’ve described has been reported internally and it’s being looked into. I’ll keep you posted on further updates.
Anyway, I have to admit, this bug isn’t as bad as the previous one. Since it doesn’t send the cursor to the wrong coordinates and only shows the last image from the last location, it’s not too disruptive because I can just re-drag the pointer while the Street View window is open.
Still, that doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be prioritized for fixing; a fix should be implemented for this bug.
