Cuckfield Fireworks Event
Start time 17:00 Sat 2nd Nov 2019
End time 21:00 Sat 2nd Nov 2019
Cuckfield - B2036, B2036 South St, B2036 High St
http://www.cuckfieldbonfire.co.uk/location/
Please note that severe congestion is expected throughout the village on the night.
There will be a police road closure of the B2036 in effect from the Cuckfield Park A272 roundabout to the Lloyds chemist mini roundabout in South Street / High Street between 1700 – 2100.
Once road closes at 5pm, vehicle access is limited only to the bonfire site via the A272
Please could a waze admin create this road closure. We want to keep the pedestrians at the event and our volunteer marshals as safe as possible. Thank you in advance, Fraser
We have also created a place (as a comment)- to mark the location of the event car park - if this is relevant.

Hi there.
I see you’ve already created a Major Traffic Event for this. I’ve added the road closures and set them to be part of the MTE. I’ve also submitted the MTE, so it now has it’s own web page and drivers in the area should get a notification on the night.
The comment won’t make any difference to drivers - map comments are purely for the editor. What I’ve done is add a parking lot place next to the comment. That way, anyone navigating to the event should be offered the location for parking. Note that Waze is a bit flaky on places - it will probably appear & disappear randomly in the Editor for the next day or two until we have an update and it appears on the live map.
Once the event is over, please delete the parking lot place. I’d like to say I’ll remember to do that, but I won’t!
Thanks iainhouse. And thanks for linking it up with the MTE. That might help advertise the fireworks to more people too.
I will try and delete the parking lot place on 3rd Nov.
Finding out I could daisy chain a list of segments (seperated by commas) in the URL string was a useful find - given I only have low level of access to the Editor.
If you hold down the CTRL key whilst selecting segments, you can select multiple segments. The Permalink button will then automatically give you a link with all those segments
