I wonder if it is a local issue? I am not seeing this happen.

Yes, I haven’t seen this happening elsewhere. Even 500 meter away it is possible to add Toll ports and Camera’s but at this specific area (PL) it isn’t possible. Quite remarkable. What is so special to that specific location?

Hello @kamonu,

Thank you for your report. It cannot reproduce the issue consistently, but it does take a few attempts before a toll booth/camera can be added in this area. Could you please send me a specific segment/segments where it fails for you?

Best regards,
Olesya

A hazard like a toll booth or a camera should click to a segment. If you’re adding such a hazard you should see a dashed line pointing to a segment location where you are going to add the hazard. At the above PL no dashed line is showing. See video. So clicking the hazard to a segment isn’t possible.

You asked for a specific segment: fi. this one: https://waze.com/editor?env=row&lat=25.41910&lon=99.53653&zoomLevel=18&segments=410574463

But the issue is not with a specific segment but with a complete area. Around mentioned segment 100 a 500 m to the south.

Hello @kamonu,

There is one node here that might need fixing:

Overlapping nodes might be contributing to this issue. Can you please check (potentially other problematic segments as well) and let me know the outcome?

Our goal is to allow adding PHs to such segments as these nodes are hard to spot.

Best regards,
Olesya

Thanks Olesya,

Updating those nodes fixed the issue. :+1:

I’m now able to add the Toll ports.

Perhaps a nice idea to add map problem scans for those invalid relics from the past.

Regards,
Dirk

Hi @kamonu,

Thank you for your update! I’m glad that it worked.

100 percent agree with you on that. This has now been raised on UV: Update current MAP PROBLEMS scanning to disconnected nodes – Waze Suggestion Box
Please give it an upvote.

Kindest regards,
Olesya
