Minus a few spots, I’ve noticed that this stretch of the Trans-Canada is designated as “freeway”. According to ministry of transportation, and Waze, these should be categorized as Major Highways. The only Freeway in the area is Hwy 5 from Hope to Merritt.
The intersections, for the most part, are ground level with traffic lights, and the speed is reduced to 90, and 80 in spots.
Am I correct to assume that the Highway should be a Major Highway? If so, we will need someone with Level 4 access to change to reflect the proper designation.
Hope my question makes sense.

Hi,
You’re probably right in that they should be MH rather than freeway and the new colors certainly makes it stand out. You can post to the unlock forum to get the segments unlocked or changed.

If you want to look at another, Highway 12 between Lillooet and Lytton switches from MH to mH to MH
For what it’s worth we can make it appear as MH, but make the routing Freeway.

Especially if it does not fit the wiki definition of freeway.
This has been discussed elsewhere.
Hwy 1 (and other parts of the TCH) that are at a high speed limit get freeway status due to their importance in the national highway system.
