Describe the problem*:
(Mostly seen in WME) When adding a left turn closure inside the JB path, it had some people still routed to turn that way, even though I had already closed the turn. It also happened on my phone when testing the faster route. However, when adding the turn closure to the outer JB path, it does reroute, but puts the closure icon (in-app) in the wrong segment. It should just be one simple turn closure arrow in the JB that prevents the rest of the turns in the outer paths instead of adding multiple.

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. I have filed an internal ticket to examine the routing behavior. Please let me know if you see further URs with the current turn closure set-up.
That left turn closure was lifted sometime earlier this week (I removed it from the map), but the existing left turn closure that is also having the exact same issue is on this permalink (1.4 km (<1 mile) away). So far, no UR complains after adding the outer path left turn arrow closure, which is rerouting people away, but as I said, it’s not the kind of arrow path to block.

Thank you very much for this example. I suppose we have enough information for know. The team is currently working on a solution for this type of turn closures. I will keep you posted on further updates.
Is there an update to this problem? It’s still an issue to this day for the first turn arrow not blocking the rest of the outer paths where JB is added.

I have asked the team for an update to see if this can be prioritized and a relevant solution implemented.

I’d also like to ask that this issue be prioritized if at all possible. It would be a reasonable assumption that, sort of like TRs already do, closing a turn inside a JB would automatically close all paths through that turn, but this is not the behavior we see, and that limitation isn’t made at all clear in WME. At a minimum, a warning or error that says “this turn can not be closed because it is inside a junction box,” would at least make the limitation clear while a better solution is implemented.

Indeed, for now, we may not have a solution to close all paths through inner turn closures, so although not ideal, implementing a warning/informative pop-up could help make this clear.
