Hello,
Sometimes Waze is not giving the direction to do a U-turn. And yet, it is allowed on these segments. You will find below some examples.
Any idea of the solution of this recurrent problem ?

For the 1st one, some of the u turn are already drawn as a dedicated road but it is not working all the times (see for example the one on the corniche).
For the 2nd one, it could work to turn left but you killed the U turn…
So, do what you think to get it good and show me a PL of your work ![]()
Hello,
It seems the problem remain unchanged…
Ensure you have the latese WAZE client. Check your play store or app store.
Go to the the settings> display and map> data transfer… REFRESH
Check settings navigation>Route Type> Shortest… since you always want to take the u-turn.
You can try but these are only suggestions.
Hi there,
I’m jumping in from the UAE, to help you out a bit.
These uturns don’t work , because they consist of to many segments.
The main road has a street name, and the uturn can only take 1 segment without a name (or with a different one), otherwise the routing system will think it might be an unwanted detour.
Beste solution is to cut away some of the connections, and have only 1 segment for left turns + uturns. I will post an example below, of the UAE standard intersection, which solves all those routing issues. Hope you can implement these in Qatar.
(using Junction Angle Info script (JAI) is very helpful to determine correct angles and turn instructions as shown in the image)
