So there is a difference between editing segments and putting in closures.
For clarification: as a Waze for Cities partner, you have access to “temporarily close” road segments; however, the ability to make more permanent edits to the road segment characteristics, geometry, rules, etc, are still restricted by your editing rank - there’s no shortcut for advancing in editing rank, other than editing experience and expertise.
As a result, you’ll see the alert that you can’t edit the road segments, but you can still enter these closures yourself.
If you know about changes to geometries, speed limits, turn restrictions, lanes, etc, that need edits on the map/app, please reach out. There plenty of us who are happy to help out.
