Walking Trails

I was looking at some URs in my area today and came across a load of walking trails that have been added alongside existing roads. Some are on residential streets and some go across a dual carriageway and a roundabout. This seems counter-productive to me - they just add clutter to an area which is already a complex junction and serve no purpose for routing. Should they be deleted? The area in question is here:

Please leave these for now. This has been passed to upper management to discuss

OK thanks. Will do.

Wow. Quite a bit of work’s gone into that.

He’s also added a load of car park lanes off here.

Yeah I already deleted god know’s how many of them in the same area

I hope you sent a PM explaining why.

I sure did.

Looking at the shape of those walking trails, and the length of them, it looks like someone is using Waze to track their running. Totally the wrong use.

I’m just waiting for the go-ahead to clean a lot of it up.
