I have run into a major problem with a house number in Waze. I got a UR in Charleston that when trying to navigate to 12 W Summit Ave Asheville, NC they are directed to the opposite side of the main road, at the intersection of Summit Ave and Lee St. When this problem was first reported, W Summit Ave was only Summit Ave and did not have the correct addresses. I changed the road to W Summit and added a few addresses in an attempt to fix the issue. However, it has been over a month and Waze still prefers the incorrect Google pin over its internal addresses (I used to be able to get the right address on the live map using the “More results…” link, but that doesn’t seem to work anymore). This street does not exist in Google Maps at all and I think I remember hearing recently that there was a bug related to this phenomenon. Is this a known issue? Is there anything that can be done in Waze by us to fix this and get it routed to properly?
I have a feeling Waze support is going to have to look into this. I had a couple streets which staunchly refused to update the house numbers locations.
I brought this up in the SM chat and it apartment is a known bug that has been reported before. I’m debating between just applying the suggested fix (make the changes in GMM) or passing it along to Waze and getting them to fix it. Probably be quicker with the former…
I can submit it if you like.
If you wouldn’t mind doing that, I’d be grateful. Haven’t had a chance to figure out submitting such things and it might carry more weight coming from you
They have the info and will be looking into it.
Thank you very much! I’ll let the reporter know.
I’m having a problem too that Waze “errors on my saves” until I remove the house/business number. Seems a disadvantage to our map.
What kind of change are you trying to make?
I was trying to create a business on the map, it was a noob error I figured out, thanks!
