Wazing on a train - without paving

Hi,

I enjoy wazing on a train and of course this throws up a whole host of problems. At present there is no way of telling waze I’m on a train - most annoying for people like me with a love of maps and wanting to know where I’m going. Is there a way of doing this without wazing over local roads at the wrong speed because waze thinks you’re in a car?

Some of the railway lines are mapped onto the app but many aren’t - and for those waze keeps asking me to pave in open country (hands up I do so and yes before certain people grab me by the throat and shake me madly, I know its wrong. Heat of the moment stuff  and it keeps me off the local roads too).

Thanks,
Ian

Waze is not a train app. You’ve been asked not to do it. So stop.

To reinterate the faitaru’s reply, the Waze app is designed to by used by drivers in private cars, and is not to be used on trains, aeroplanes, buses or bicyles. Doing so can corrupt the speed data on nearby roads, resulting in routing problems that are almost impossible to diagnose or fix.

There are other, more suitable apps for non-driving situations.

Thank you.
