What's up with my points?

First let me say that I think this is a great app and a very creative way of navigation. As for my points, I just don’t get it. I signed up at the beginning of November and according to my phone I have no miles driven, no points and a ranking of -1. I have driven approximately 500 miles and have made numerous additions and have reported numerous hazards, but still show no points. When I log in on the website I see 2 recent routes that are not even mine.

Has this happened to anyone else ? How do I get this fixed ? Is there some glitch in the system ?

Thanks, but this has nothing to do with my points fluctuating. It simply appears as though it’s not tracking anything I am doing. Please help

Agree, the point system is not being properly recorded, documented and shown. As many people that are using this, there is no excuse for this error. Come on WAZE, get your stuff together and straighten this out.

I think they’ve got it working again. I’ve had point updates two days in a row and I’m thinking it’s pretty accurate.

I’ve even got routes on my list now, although the earliest on is from Nov 12. I think I read somewhere that previous routes that weren’t on the list were lost.

Actually there’s a legit excuse for this. Waze has had a big backlog for the past month because their servers were jammed after the app became the app of the day on iOS last month. Waze has since fixed how the servers handle requests for the points and map databases so that it runs much more efficient. On top of that, Waze has been given $30 million for funding which some of that cashflow is going towards fixing up the servers. I have been patient for the past month and as of right now, Waze seems to be up to date. I’m getting map updates every other day and the recent routes are updated within hours of using Waze. The people behind the operations of the service have done a lot of work in the past month.

Although it may be a bit premature to declared everything fixed…

As if someone who joined less than 2 weeks ago has a clue what is excusable or not. Come join the fun, but take it easy and mellow out a bit.

Of course. There’s still a lot of data hanging out there in limbo but the map updates are finally up to date after a month.

hello :), im driving with my waze but on scoreboard it said that i have only few points but i don’t, my dashboard said ‘Rank, last updated: 11.5.2011, 1:00’ why?? today is 23.11.2011.,it was 6 months ago…

Date format is m.d.yyyy. Your dashboard shows updated November 5, 2011, so that’s not too bad. Sounds like you are on the world, server, so I think this is about right.

aaa ok,understood :), but you know what, few months on scoreboard(mobile) and dashboard i have 11 points, but today it said ‘+3 points’ for ping and the sum is 82, so where are they?? sorry for my bad english :roll:

The points appear to be having problems. The dashboard for me (US) shows 11.16.2011 for last update, but yesterday it showed 11.22.2011, so it went backward. Your points might be less than they should be because of this problem today.

Well from the way you read the date, I’ll bet you are on the www.waze.com server instead of the world.waze.com server. Because the forums are on the www. server, people get lost easily. Out of the 5 million Waze users, I would guess close to a million have had this happen to them!!!

well i got this problem for about few months :(, nono i am on the world.waze.com, i already checked that. i really don’t know where is the problem :frowning:
