Zero toll price not displayed in app

When setting a price in the toll tool to be Zero, the app will show no price against the toll tag in the route panel, and the more info pop-up claims no price is available. When a Zero price is set the app should show £0.00 or Free.

This is likely to also be the case when a toll is only charged at certain times of the day / week.

Zero toll should be defined with Toll free restriction and not with toll price utility.

It should be done with both (otherwise the non-zero price could be added on routes that include another toll road somewhere else), but apparently, like in Chile, it’s not possible to add pass-based segment restrictions in the UK. The zero price has been set up for people with the permit merseyflowresident-uk.

I’d love to use the correct tool but we haven’t been given access to passes in the restrictions tool.

I have already set the toll-free restriction for vehicle type. Using the Zero price is the only way to get a similar effect with a pass but this means the user still has to have avoid tolls switch off.

The restriction will allow for routing to be done during toll free time but since the price is not associated with the actual routing, I agree that you should be able to show “free” or “$0.00” for the price when the price may be free.

How should I map a toll with an entry-exit matrix that is free only within 2 toll booths, while all other combinations would pay something to exit there?
I don’t think I can use the toll-free restriction in this case.

You should just leave the price blank or set as 0 in the price matrix.

Yes, and in that case, the app doesn’t show any price, that is exactly the reason why this topic was opened.

I misunderstood your query.

Staff have asked for more examples of zero price for entry/exit mapping so you might be best emailing the toll price support team directly as there is no other way to map them as yet.
