Wazer is reporting an issue at this roundabout (Permalink). Waze suggests this route (straight over from the A4010 New Rd onto the A4129 Longwick Rd. Permalink
However, if they deviate from this and turn right at the roundabout from the A4010 New Road onto the A4010 Aylesbury Rd (Permalink) then they say this consistently cuts about 5 mins off their journey time.
Their Start point is HP123BZ and end point is HP226BN
Start time is between 08:00-08:20
Plotting the route via Livemap shows 3 suggestions, this issue appears to be related to the 2nd route option via the A4010 Wycombe Rd which the Wazer follows until deviating manually from the route at the roundabout mentioned above.
The issue seems to be between the route between this segement (Permalink) and this segment (Permalink)
I’ve checked the two routes on WME Route Speeds, and the Waze suggested route comes out consistently about 2 1/2 minutes slower as well as being 1.7 miles longer
I can’t see any issues with turn restriction errors or anything to indicate why Waze is directing via the A4129 Longwick Rd and not via the quicker and shorter A4010 Aylesbury Rd
I’ve noticed a couple of similar UR crop up as well. One in Bristol that I believe has now been dealt with due to it being doing to a rouge “difficult turn” and since then I’ve had this one here Permalink Which I still haven’t had time to fully look into yet.
I’ve had a gander and could see nothing wrong or odd. Fixed some minor things and added a small dead end so that should force a tile update which may help. But as realpinger says in the comments it may be the level crossing that’s causing the route. Occasional longer wait over an occasional shorter wait at the other crossing. It might need route times checked by a bot to see what’s what.
