Is it possible to enter in latitude longitude coordinates instead of addresses?
I used decimal (##.######, -##.######) and it didnt work at all.

Can you clarify the syntax needed? I have tried everything. It says the cords is a huge amount away from me.
I’m using an iPhone. Got my cords from google maps. Shared the cords in email. Opened in safari and gives me the cords. Try to place it in waze with every format I can and even though it my position it won’t work.

35.256707, -116.669784 puts you in the California desert about halfway between Los Angeles & Las Vegas
Are any of these correct?
You need to make sure you have the +/-, N/S, and E/W indicators there…
Also, if you are in the Update Map, you can click Permalink in the lower left, and the URL will have the lat & long pretty easily accessible so you can work that way too…
you are missing the “;” between the coords…

I am not using and decimal points (.) anywhere, just the comma and semi-colon…and it works great.

A coordinates that I get from Google Maps.
translated, I does a Navigate->3,071063;101,698442, and it returns the wrong location, it should be around 7km away from where I am, and Waze is returning a bunch of results, the first being 2km away from where I am.
I am trying to find a way to navigate easily to my Google Calendar events or Google Contacts address, since Google Maps navigation is not yet available here.
I think you need to enter longitude, latitude rather than latitude, longitude.

Is this a special format? This means that I will need a store a copy of this format in my Google Contacts if I want to be able to navigate to my Friend’s place straight away.
The strange thing is, the lat,lon format does work in Bing maps, which I believe is what being used here in Malaysia.
It’s weird and we’ve never heard a reason why we have to switch coord order to search a location in Waze. Especially when if you look at the output search results from your entry, Waze has switched them back into the normal lat, lon order.

I have discovered that changing dots to commas and commas to semicolons is not the correct way, switching the lat and lon order IS the solution.
And that is the way it is posted in the FAQ.
Yes I know that already, my question is, Why? Is this an alternate format? I am able to search by coordinates using google maps and microsoft bing both using lat/lon instead of lon/lat.
I don’t feel that is a useful question to ask. It is just the way it is. This is not something anyone on the forums can answer. Try submitting a ticket from the Support page QuickHelp box.
