Hacked or deleted account

Hi, i lost my phone yesterday, and i’m unable to logIn back into my waze account. My previous username was “Mr-Txerra” and I was king wazer with 140k+ pts. Anyway to recover my real account? I had to register with a new one to post this thread…

You can only login if you remember your username (which you do) and password.

If you forgot about your password I hope you had setup your account with an e-mail because it would be needed to follow the steps here:

Is it possible to merge two different accounts if used the same email, and username even though one came registered from a different email and username? I left my sesion logged in a friends phone as I had lost my phone during a trip, but when he tried to put his account back, he didn’t log mine out first, and changed the username, pic and email address to his own. So those chamges happened in fact in my account. Ive checked back the scoreboards and friends list, and he appears twice however, we can only access to his original account (not the newly “acquired” one) So it seems that both accounts have merged into one email address… is there anyway to resolve that? Are there any backups at Waze to restore ones account to a previous state?

PS: i used the same logon details and when I tried with my facebook account, It has registered as a new user!

This forum is community managed. Other Wazers of the community cannot help you with your account, we’re not staff and cannot look into those issues, we don’t have access to the Waze accounts database.

I don’t think you can merge 2 accounts.

Thanks for your reply, i read the guidelines, and can’t find a solution for my problem so far. Therefore, I’m hoping that someone that has been through this issue can tell me a way to fix it. At the same time i contacted waze support, so I will keep it updated to whatever solution they find towards this issue so it may help others in future.

I’ve check the editions I made on the map, and my previous username (Mr-Txerra) has been renamed into (“PepeblueyesJR”). That’s the change my friend made by mistake, but cannot access it anymore as he has his own waze account.

So, how can I recover an account under the given username whose email address is incorrect or missing, and password unknown? I suppose the Support Team might be able to overwrite those changes, and restore the previous email address… right? I’ve tried pretty much every “solution” in the FAQs :?
