How to fix? - Toronto

What’s the best way to fix this?

Waze is sending them half a km to do a u turn when there is already a road there for them to left turn.

On google maps, the address is where the road is. On waze, the address is west of road to the entrance. Any way to fix this?

To try and help please provide the searched address as well, where is Waze requesting the u-turn? Please send permalink of the location for the u-turn.

Thanks,
HM.

The address is 1491 lake shore blvd.

The U Turn is here

I notice the road that is already there is marked as a Parking Lot Road. Would it fix it if it was switched to something else?

I don’t think the parking lot is related to this.
You will need to find with the user if the actual location where Waze put the marker is the correct location. If it is not we can try to adjust it on Waze side, but this will not work unless it is also on Google Map side.
If the location was in the right spot, the user need to understand that Waze is always providing the most “Optimal” route, based on real time and historical data. The more Wazers in the area driving with the App open, the more accurate it is become.
It is very likely that the user just thought a different maneuver is better and he can certainly use it to “teach” Waze new options.

I hope this will help you to close this UR.

Cheers,
HM.

That’s true – but you can edit Google destination points very quickly in Google MapMaker. They often don’t even need approval from another editor (unlike most changes in Google’s map ecosystem).

These changes often have immediate effects on the Waze searches.
