How to make a map change with low rank

I’m trying to update the roads around my workplace at 13100 E Colfax Ave, Aurora, CO 80011. I was able to indicate a construction road closure, but there is a road segment on the map which is completely wrong; it shows continuity from the top of a parking garage to a road at grade, and it also doesn’t show the road at grade’s continuity with another road at grade. When I tried to delete the incorrect segment, it says, “You need a higher rank to delete at least one of the items you’ve selected.” OK, I get it; my first map edit was the construction road closure, and I don’t have enough track record to be a trusted map editor. So do I just leave the map wrong, even though I know better? Or is there a way to get the edits onto the map? In my profile, there’s a stat, “Resolved Update Requests.” Is that a way to request map updates that I cannot make?

Sorry for the newbie question. I’ve been using Waze for 7-8 years but just never tried map editing before.

Hi, not a bad question. Is there a way to make this work without deleting segments? Like maybe disconnecting or moving the parking lot roads in the garage? I think I see a way to do it by just changing geometry, if you’re talking about these

As for getting help, posting here is good, but you would probably get faster help by posting on the Colorado forum (go to board index>community>local forums by country, then drill down. In the editor, you could leave a map comment, or in the app, you could report a map issue (that’s what the update request stat is about). But leaving those things on the map would
