There’s a parade this Sunday (9/18/2016) in downtown Hudson, MA with many road closures through the center of town, affecting two state routes through town.
I already submitted the Event to Waze using the form and got the email that someone created it (Hudson 150 Parade), but as a Level 2 editor I do not have access to add road closures to the event.
I’m willing to add the necessary closures if I can gain access.
Level 2 editors can’t set road closures, so I have set them based on the parade map. Please take a look and let me know if anything needs to be changed.
Unfortunately you got the first part of the parade route wrong.
It starts on Central Street, then bears left onto Packard St, then right onto Lincoln St.
The stretch of Central Street from Packard to Lincoln is OK to be open.
Villa do Porto appears to also need to be closed.
I’d also suggest closing the stretch of Washington Street between South Street and the rotary so that people can’t approach the rotary at all.
Does closing a street prevent routing through the intersection entirely?
Ex: If someone is approaching the parade route on a side street and wants to cross over the parade route to the side street on the other side, would they be prevented from doing so by the main road’s closure?
If not, then a number of those side streets will have to be closed, too.
