Introducing: Culture Chairs

Hello everyone!

We wanted to share with you some great news with regards to enhancing our Community Leadership.

We have recently become aware of the need of diversifying our community leadership in ways that our roles would reflect and represent different types of leadership in our Communities.

This is why we would like to introduce you to:

Culture Chair

  • Highly social & motivators. Great with social skills!
  • Planning and coordinating outreach events, such as like Waze Cafés & Meetups
  • Assist Mentors & Mentor Coordinators by overseeing the welcoming new members and engaging with current ones

  1. How will Culture Chairs be selected?Coordinators and Staff Community Managers should discuss and decide who will be their community’s Culture Chair, based on their skills to motivate and empower the community. They shouldn’t necessarily be an already existing Coordinator, but should be great engagers and motivators.
  2. What benefits does this role entail?
    By recognizing their unique personality, Culture Chairs will contribute to the success of Waze events. In addition they will play a key role in helping develop and grow our communities.
  3. When are Culture Chairs selected?
    Culture Chairs will be selected twice a year.

Coordinators and Staff Community Managers will choose Culture Chairs jointly. SCMs will begin discussing with Coordinators about who would make a great Culture Chair in your community.
