Approaching this junction of the New England Hwy from the South, would it be possible to change the junction such that Waze would prompt the driver to “keep right to continue on New England Hwy”? The junction itself is not sign posted and in my case the next direction was to stay left (a number of km down the road), which led to some hesitation and close inspection of the mobile phone screen.
I feel the extra direction would help remove any confusion from the situation
I agree that there needs to be an instruction to say ‘keep left/right’ here, but this can be done without the need for Ramps. The wiki says that the key is to ensure all the segments have different names.
Therefore:
entry segment would be named: A43 - Pacific Hwy
Left-out split: A1 - Pacific Hwy
Right-out split: A43 - New England Hwy
The problem previously was probably that the angles were <10-15 degrees, so waze wasn’t giving an instruction at all (The names should have been correct already, as I think I recently checked them).
It depends on how much instruction you want to give to the user, as the Ramps way allows you to add the extra detail of ‘Raymond Tce / Taree / Brisbane’, whereas the other way is simpler but doesn’t give this extra info. I’ll leave others to decide which is best here.
Ahh - that probably explains why the split isn’t working anymore. Hopefully the wiki will be updated soon when there is confirmation. In that case, let’s just leave the ramps…we know they work
Don’t think so, there are no Altnames…that’s what that linked thread is about. No ingo from Waze regarding this, just findings in the US, but the problem is on our server too.
The Wayfinders are much too long, they are to be just slightly more than 5m to stay unnoticeable in the client.
