Hello. we have some segments also can not have info in the left panel.
Even i we want edit or change them we can not do any thing with them. i s a huge area around the city of Araure, Venezuela that have this problem.We cannot change anything and dont let change in existing segments too.
is very strange and bizarre WME. we prove that in BETA WME also and is the same thing.

If we draw new segments, we canot change or edit them too.

Good evening, this is also happening with normal wme, example:

In italy the problem is due to the (inexistent) city with id 43179.

Practical example: https://www.waze.com/editor?env=row&lon=11.33159&lat=46.46993&zoomLevel=17&segments=141601869

Segment ID 141601869

This segment has an invalid AN, not showed in WME.

W.model.segments.objects[141601869].attributes.streetIDs[0] = 29896352

W.model.streets.objects[29896352].cityID = 43179

But this cityID does not exist!

W.model.cities.objects[43179] = undefined

If I remember correctly, this ID is relative to the name “No Street, No City” when there were no States in Italy…

Thank you Giovanni for this new example with all details!

Thanks NataliiaPi

The same strange behaviour happens in Chile. It has been previously reported:

On those threads there are some examples, with permalinks and debugging logs.

It seems that at some zoom levels, there are undefined city identifiers, and it is probably related to the “No city” or “No name” references from some segments.

As a fact, Chile was splitted into “states” some years ago, and it seems that the unique “No city” reference for the whole country had to be replaced by many “No city” ones, each one assigned to a different state, but segments kept the original “No city” Id for some zoom levels, which it was removed from the database.

Hi Everyone!

I’m happy to let you know that we found the root cause for the issue and we deployed a fix.

Please let us know if it’s indeed fixed on your side.

Best,
Maia

The only element in this permalink that has its info displayed in the left panel is the map comment. Segments and places are still empty. :frowning:

This permalink also gives a blank left panel. And also this one.

These and some others at the same location have no city. Was this the root of the problem?

Hi Witoco,

Could you please specify the segment from the first sentence (“This permalink also gives a blank left panel”)? I checked a few in the area of the link and the left panel is visible for all segments.

Thank you in advance,
Nataliia

I just found that the permalink tool in WME does not include the segment id in the URL when the left panel is blank!!! Same bug?

Anyway, the left panel is visible at some zoom levels, after panning and doing many other tricks in order to download the missing info and get the left panel.

The segment name is “Av. Américo Vespucio Norte” at the given zoom level from the reported permalink. In this other permalink, at a different zoom level, you can see the left panel, and realize that the segment id was 379701502.

Thanks!

Hi Witoco,

Thank you for your answer. Could you please indicate the zoom level when the panel is displayed blanc on your side? I was doing testing with different zoom levels, however the panel remains visible on my end. I might miss something.

Best,
Nataliia
