Long Term Construction in Illinois - Mentor me please

Hello,

There is a long term construction project going on in my town. Lanes are closed and turning is restricted. I would like to learn how to make these changes but I have a feeling that construction will be over by the time I learn.

Here is the press release if someone would like to take on this project, or maybe walk me through it? The choice is yours.

Thank you Vince! And welcome KCMurphy72. For lane closures, there is not much we can do as map editors, as the road is still open, however, we can restrict those turns that are not at signaled intersections.

For those I can help you through it, as it is quite easy to do. You can join us on in our chat in our Disord channel and I will walk you through the steps. Let me know if you have issues.

Bummer. Construction in Chicago and its suburbs is renowned for being ever-long and ever-present. Lanes shifts and closures, bumps (no idea why this doesn’t exist as an option under Hazard), rerouting, the list goes on and on. Having the ability to mark lane closures would be of great benefit in these parts. And yes, the road is open, but that doesn’t mean it’s as as safe as it was before - would be nice to have options.

Unfortunately you used to be able to add a lane closure report but that feature was recently removed. We can however add construction zone speed limits to help alert users. You can also drop construction on road reports on the road as well.

We have been pretty up to date on the latest construction updates, as far as road closures and major shifts. Is there a particular area you know of that might need some more help? We can try our best to help make it as accurate as we can. Thanks!
