Rank 1: Chicago, IL

Heavy construction with street permanently changing from 2 lanes to 1 lane after 10/31/14.
Construction active and/or only 1 lane available every day all day from 4/1/14-10/31/14.
It’s not a good route anymore and Waze should offer other routes to avoid this road during rush hour and weekends.

I can’t get the entire area highlighted so someone else should make the edit.
Thanks.

Waze will route according to traffic. There is no hack needed to the map.

I still think it should be added as a construction zone. The signs show the dates and times for construction start and end.

The area is Lawrence Ave from Clark St to Western Ave.

Thanks.

I can label it Construction Zone, but Waze will not avoid it based just on the name. It will avoid it when it sees travel times increase over these segments.

You can always make a turn restriction onto the road with a date range, and in the description write ‘Construction’

You can, but the turn restriction isn’t true. You can turn and use the road. It is just slow with a lane reduction. Let Waze handle the slow down.

As long as this road open for traffic you must not restrict the turn by changing the turn restriction. That would be map hack and not allowed. Waze is smart enough to know that the road has delays due to single lane or any other circumstances (accident, or heavy traffic etc)

Let Waze do its thing.
