Missing offramp direction on I-95 S northbound between Needham and Newton

For about a year now, the exit sign for an offramp on I-95 S northbound between Needham and Newton has been failing to show up until 0.2 mi to the exit - i.e., super high potential to miss the exit in a 4-lane section of the highway. The exit is 36A toward Boylston St. I have photos that show what Waze looks like at 1.8 mi, 1.5 mi, 0.9 mi, etc. to the exit; happy to send to anyone interested.

Could someone please help with a fix? I would if I could but I don’t know how.

Thank you!

Thanks for your report of this issue. Because there are 2 quick exits in a row, we had a device to help get drivers into the proper lane earlier. However, we are able to tweak the time of the alert. I’ve set it to occur earlier than the default that is currently in force. This will take 2-3 days to go live on the app. Later this week you should see the updated behavior. Can you get back to use with what you experience?

Safe travels,

Thanks so much, SanzClew! Super helpful - if an exit alert can come at the 1.8 mi or 1.5 mi marker just as a reminder, that would be awesome! Here’s a photo just so you see the “silence”.

Really appreciate what you do!

I do appreciate the screenshot. On freeways the alerts for exits are not under our direct control for the vast majority of the time. In some cases, where there are complex interchanges, we apply paths that may affect timing, however, advance warning is never directly adjusted by us volunteers.

I do see that other users are reporting and lessening of lead time and you can pile on with your information and screenshot as well here:
