[New Editor Training] Share Feedback by March 3rd

Announcing yet another exciting project:
We’ve kicked off the creation of Training Materials for New Editors :exploding_head:

Today, we’re approaching you, experienced editors who are great at teaching, to share the very initial draft of the training materials, for your feedback!

If you’d like to help shape these new materials, we ask that you:

Important notes

  • We’re still figuring out the best structure for the flow

  • Currently missing:

  • Practice time: When responding to the form, please think of the most important things for a new editor to practice

  • Suggest an edit

  • WME videos we recently created

  • More context on community roles, how to connect to the community, and how important it is to follow local guidance in Wazeopedia

  • When responding to the form, please mention what you think is most important here for a new editor

  • We’ll add more help for troubleshooting errors, login flow: When responding to the form, please think of the issues you most often encounter with new editors

  • We plan to localize the materials, with the Localization community’s help, in the future, once it’s ready.

  • The training is interactive, hosted on a platform called Skillshop, which requires users to log in with their email address

  • The draft you’ll review was originally made for staffers, and it’s just a starting point for new editors. We want to make it more practical and in-depth for the community.
