Preparing the Mentoring Kit - Share Feedback on the WME Written Tutorials

Hi everyone!

We’re almost ready to launch the long awaited Mentoring Kit!

In the past, we’ve asked for feedback on the WME Tutorial videos and before we start to incorporate it, we’d like to hear your feedback about the written version of the WME How-to Guides.

If you’d like to help -

  • Please review the guides here - This page was not yet shared with the community, please keep it for yourself for now.
  • Found a mistake? Comment in this thread!

Once we finish perfecting these guides according to your feedback, we’ll ask our dear Localizers to translate them.

Thank you very much for all your help!

Great idea. It would be good for mentors to get additional tools.

Waze Map Editor How-To Guide - 1 - Draw a Segment
The method described is not as I (don’t know about other editors) add a segment.
After selecting “Road” I click in an existing segment and then click in another existing segment. This way, the new segment will have the correct connections. About the shape, I always use as primary method the one described in step 4 (trace the path while designing, instead of adjusting it latter).
Also, I have a problem with the expression “Hover over Road”; It seems a tongue twisters. I would replace it for “Hover on Road”

“To create a new segment” doesn’t belong in Step 4 (copy-paste from Step 1 and forgot to delete??)

“Find the location where you’d” doesn’t belong in Step 4 (copy-paste from Step 2 and forgot to delete??)

Thank you very much for your detailed feedback!
I’ll give other members of this forum a few more days to share their feedback and then I’ll improve the guide based on it.

Thanks again!

Just wanted to thank Hugo for the very detailed and kind feedback again and let this group know we improved the content significantly now,
so we’ll be able to move on to the next step - Translations, in the coming days
(If you’re a part of the Localization forum, you’ll see this subject pop up there as well ><)

Thanks again!!
