Hi

There is still this annoying issue, map darkens when moving while segments/poi are marked.
In this situations many scripts don’t work correct or you have to save and reload. Sometimes you have to reload whole browser.

Hi Andy,

Thank you for your report, sorry for missing that previously.

A couple of questions to better understand the issue:

  • Could you please let me know if this issue is reproducible without scripts?
  • What do you mean by ¨map darkens¨?
  • Could you also add a permalink so we can check the issue?
  • Maybe a screen recording of the issue could help us as well :slight_smile:

Thank you so much for sending the screen recording.

I haven’t been able to reproduce the issue yet, sorry for that. Can I ask you to please try with the Area Manager layers off?

Recently we did a change in area managers colors that we are still working on improving to reach the ideal opacity.

Also noticed this issue for some time.

You mean Editable Area layer? Area Manager layer is always off.
If I switch off Editable Area layer, the behavior is the same but without the map getting darker.

To reproduce this issue it is important to first zoom in, refresh map and then select a segment & move the map.
If you start e.g. at zoom level 3, zoom in and select a segment, you have to move a much higher distance to reach the “darkened area”

Hi Andy,

I have also been experiencing this - However, if I zoom out twice, my map returns to normal and I can zoom back in to continue editing. I also can’t select a node until I do this. Does that happen on your end as well?

Thank you Andy, I’ve opened an internal issue.

It might take some time to solve it. In the meantime, I suggest you use the workaround.

The Australian editing community as a whole have been experiencing this issue for some time now too. We have noticed it happens whenever you have a segment selected while panning the map. It seems like the editor stops properly loading new map data when a segment is selected.
