I’ve created a new place & would like to complete it but the changes I’ve made are still awaiting confirmation & some of the changes I can’t make at all. Who’s responsible for confirming new places?
Well done on finding the place to ask this! Until you’ve had about 10 places confirmed, you’ll need that confirmation. Any editor may do so. L2 and above, I think.
If you want to get someone to confirm a new place, you’ll need to tell us where it is. Have a read of this article in Wazeopedia for providing a permalink to the location.

Right I’ve finished the ACC, thanks for that. I’ve also re-created the car park that mysteriously disappeared on me.
Of course, it helps if I’ve got parling places visible in the map :oops:
I’ve approved the changes proposed for the ACC.
This is the first time I’ve seen the parking for a block of houses/flats mapped. It can certainly be argued that this car park meets the criteria for the first bullet in the “Which car parks to map” section of this guidance post. It can equally be argued that it also counts as on-street parking where the street is Thomasson Ct! I’ve approved it any way, and you’ll need to complete its details so it’s clear it’s a private car park, permit holders only.
Doing that may make you decide it’s not appropriate to have as a car park on the map, whereas the car park for the Thomasson Memorial Special School does deserve to be separated out from the school place marker, as does the Devonshire Rd County Primary School car park. The Lion of Vienna pub/restaurant and its car park need adding and is there a speed camera facing east on the A673 really there? It shows on Streetview but isn’t on the map.
Plenty to do there!
If you need more places confirmed, add them to this thread and we’ll soon get you to the level where your new places don’t need approval!

That was the criteria under which i decided it needed mapping. Hmmm, I’d say Thomasson Court isn’t really a street but I’m pretty new to this so I’ll defer to anyone else’s experience if they think differently.
For some reason I seem unable to edit any of it, it’s still showing as “awaiting confirmation” despite me receiving a notification that it had been approved.
I’m happy to do what I can, thanks again!

I can’t help with approving because I can’t edit in your area, but just a pointer: I see you’ve created some Parking Lot Roads here. A couple of things that need tweaking:
- You need to name the roads, or mark them as having “None” in the street name. Click where it says “Unnamed segment” in the top left, and make sure the “None” box is checked for any parking lot road you create.
- You shouldn’t map every single avenue in a car park, just the main in and out and outer roads. I’ve marked in blue in the screen shot below what I think should probably be deleted.

I’m in the same boat as Ben in that it’s JUST outside of my editing area (I can edit Trinity St nearby).
Luckily, I can see the screenshot, and created a permalink for you. 
The sections highlighted here are not necessary and can be deleted.
I’ve looked at it again & those car parks are a bit of a mess. It looks as though they’ve been created more than once over the top of each other. Probably by some inexperienced editor… :oops:
If anyone can confirm/delete them I’d be happy to tidy them up.

Just a couple more things to sort out regarding this same car park:
There are now some redundant junction nodes that are no longer needed. Just click on these and you can delete them and this will merge the connected segments. (You can tell they are junction nodes because they have a little circle within the road itself). I’ve included this permalink to one node. I can’t select multiple nodes as not in my editable area.
And the road currently needs connecting to Black Horse St which you won’t be able to do as it’s a L2 road. Whoever approves the places should be able to do this for you.
Finally - you appear to have created a new car park called Coronation Street Multi-Storey overlaid over the existing Bolton Octagon NCP which had already been created 28th September last year, so I’ve rejected your one.
Things coming together now! Keep up the good work - it only gets easier as you learn!
