Hi, I need a few edits around Pershore UK accepted.

WR10 1LQ has a new road added behind it which i have done on the map. And a Car Park called Abbey Park Car Park Pershore i have also added but needs accepting. Could someone please do this for me?

I have just looked and we have quite a few edits that need aproving around pershore UK. Could someone please take a look for us.

Hi

I’ve had a look at these permalinks you’ve provided. I’ve approved the Abbey St Car Park but moved the destination point closer to the roundabout so that a user arrives at the destination then chooses a place to park. The point where you located it was inside the car park. You could tick the disabled spaces box in the More Info tab, and also give a more accurate estimate of the number of spaces - certainly more than 10.

I did not approve the Broad St Car Park you added as another user had placed a car park in the exact same spot a few days earlier. However, it’s not locked, so you can add details.

I’ve approved the other two car parks added by that user (Queen Elizabeth Dr and King George’s Way - which needs its parking lanes “confirmed”) but not locked them, so you can update them with the correct names if necessary.

A few other points I did notice, though, which I hope you will find helpful:

  • you can’t add a loop - a segment that loops round and attaches to itself, such as you have in the car park accessed from Abbots Rd. Waze can’t navigate into or out of these. What you need to do is have a segment coming from Abbots Rd to the car park entrance, then two seperate segments running parallel and meeting at the far end. Don’t forget to allow all turns at each node!
  • you need to “confirm” the street and city names on each segment, otherwise they show up as red in the editing map and can’t be accessed. Click on the Address box, and new fields will show for Street, House number, City, County and Country. The Street ahd House number will be empty, the others should already be completed in a town but may be wrong close to a boundary, but the City field may be blank if it’s in a rural area. You should see boxes labelled None next to the Street and City fields. You need to add a name, or click the None box. You can leave the House number field blank.
  • footpaths/walking trails - there’s no point having these on the map unless they’re the only way of reaching a specific address, otherwise, they’re just map clutter which someone will come along and delete sometime.

Thanks John, Really appreciate it. Done the roads again. Could you take a look and accept the edits. Ive also added more info on Abbey Rd car park also that needs accepting like times, and spaces as you noted.

Something odd going on with the place markers for the Kings George’s Way, Queen Elizabeth Dr and Broad St car parks - they appear to have vanished. That may be to do with the problem we have with places not being visible immediately after changes have been made, or have they been deleted?

Oh, and I’ve changed the category for Abbey Park to Park rather than Playground, as the place marker covers the whole park. I’ve accepted the changes to the Abbey Park car park, apart from the one requesting it be deleted.

I’ve noticed u-turns are enabled on all the junctions around here, in the UK we don’t enable u-turns at every node, they will need disabling.
