Hi
I am new to Waze.
I have added the private road on which my house is located. I can create the nodes and double click to highlight the road and then add the road name but I cannot save the edit. I get a message ‘no permissions to make some changes’.
I believe this may be because I’m a new user and my permissions are restricted but can’t find any information as to how I gain permissions?

Hi Mike - Welcome to Waze! 
You will have permission to edit roads within 1 mile of everywhere you’ve driven, although there’s currently a backlog processing drives and this might take a day or two to take effect.
It’s also possible that the road you want to connect to is locked at a higher level, and you won’t be able to connect your new road to it. If that’s the case, then you can post in this forum to request to have it unlocked for you.
As you make more edits and contribute to the map, your rank and editable area will increase, allowing you to edit more roads!

Just curious, what causes these backlogs? Apart from “A lot of people are driving…” Or only that?
