Hi, new here 
I’m trying to make a few local edits to improve the map, but get the message “You do not have permission to make some of the changes”.
Not sure why or how to sort it out.
Can anyone help?

Hi Ellie. There’s currently a global issue with Level 1 editors making additions/changes to the Waze map - see this thread for details.
If it’s something which needs sorting in a timely manner, stick a post in the UK Editor Requests forum with the details of what needs doing and someone will get to it.
If it’s something which can wait, it hopefully won’t be long before the L1 issue is resolved and you’ll be able to crack on!
In the meantime, welcome (almost!) to the world of Waze map-editing. As you’re a new editor, while you wait for the problem to be sorted it might be worth taking some time to read through the UK Wazeopedia, starting with the Quick Start Guide in the first link on that page.
Hi Ellie. The L1 issue is now resolved, you should be able to make edits to local roads.
