I am proposing an update to the lanes page with content about far lanes. This is the exact same content transcluded into the path page. Here are the differences:

Summary of proposed changes:

  • Update lead and message boxes to 2023 (it’s not new, not in beta anymore, L3+ locked)
  • Remove the bit about junction boxes
  • Replace it with whole section on far lanes, which has already been discussed as part of the path page

The reason I’m transcluding content on both pages is that these features kind of blend into each other. When you think about lanes, you often think about far lanes, and when you think about paths, you almost always think about far lanes. But we don’t want conflicting information, so might as well have that info stay on the lanes page.

Any thoughts?

That sounds like a good plan overall.

they are definitely interrelated in my mind. If the Far Lanes section gets too big, we can break it into a basic info section to stay in Lanes and expand a Far Lanes page with all the details.
