Anyone has problem to update petrol price? I keep having ‘No petrol station nearby…’
Or just me
I don’t update prices very often but yesterday I had left Waze running whilst I filled up, when I got back in the car it was displaying a message along the line of “Are you in a petrol station, do you want to update prices?”
I hit the yes button and then got the message that no petrol stations nearby even though I hadn’t started the engine and was still next to the petrol pump (with a good strong 4G signal). Then tried selecting a petrol station manually and it worked OK.
Andy.
I believe it is a bug in the beta version and see many testers already reported it. Are you using beta version too?
As far as I can tell, the Beta version issues are the “prices don’t exist”, but the petrol stations do? Or at least that’s my experience.

No.
Had problems updating price yesterday because the app said I am a baby wazer and can’t updatge prices yet.
My status on the same App confirms my Royalty status, so whats going on there?

It’s a bug. Haven’t had that one in ages, I was hoping it had been fixed.
I think it happens when Waze starts without a 3G phone signal, possibly after an crash (of the app, not the car hopefully
). The petrol price part of the app seems to default the user back to baby status, and be very slow to correct itself, even when other parts of the app know your status perfectly well. The solution I have found to work is to drive somewhere with 3G (or Wifi), shut down the app completely (not the sleep status, kill it totally), and then open it again.
And the more people complain to Waze support, the better the chance of it getting fixed.
