Place updates

Apologies for what might be a bit of a ‘newbie’ question… I’ve made quite a lot of updates/additions to places local to me, which obviously need approval from a level 2+ editor. A couple of them have been actioned, but most haven’t after several days.

Permalink to example - https://www.waze.com/editor?env=row&lon=-3.13811&lat=53.17343&s=20489174487&zoom=4 - eight place updates waiting for approval.

It’s no biggie, there’s no rush… but I wondered whether, in addition to making the updates in WME, whether I need to post on a forum to flag up that they’re there and waiting for approval from an editor of an appropriate level? Or is it just a case of wait until someone gets around to them in WME?

It’s usually just that an editor of the correct level hasn’t looked at the Place Update Requests (PUR) in that area recently.

To be able to approve PURs you need to have driven in the relevant area recently, or be an area manager for that area. The AM for the permalink above is Kkervinjones, or any of the other senior editors with countrywide editing rights will be able to help you out!

Welcome to editing, by the way! It’s addictive isn’t it!!! Once you’ve got to the magic 1000 edits, it’ll open up a lot for you, as you’ll be L2.

It’s certainly addictive!

Thanks for the response. If the edits still haven’t been approved in a couple of weeks, I’ll message the AM. Cheers.

Only just seen this post. I must work out how to get notified when a new thread is added. :?
I think I have found all the place updates and approved them.

Normally, I would say put a post on the editor request to get them approved, but for some reason several of the senior editors don’t seem to pick up anything to do with places. :o So if you post here, I will sort them out for the time being. It will not be too long until you do not need the approval.
