Points and edits?

Hi,

I can’t be the only one!

Do others have a discrepancy between what is shown on the scoreboard and their dashboard?
Have your edit numbers seemingly stopped?
Do you have the same number of “New recorded miles” no matter how far you have driven?

I have posted a question about this to “support” but that was last week! Not a peep from them.

So in usual Waze fashion then, that means there is a serious c0ckup somewhere in Waze World and they are desperately working out what has gone wrong! Yes?

Des. . .

Scoreboard on the app and world.waze.com/dashboard/scoreboard is the same for me, but I expect they feed off of the same URL.
I have a slight discrepancy between dashboard and scoreboard points, but its nothing major - only 8 points today, which I assume would be drive I took somewhere.

What is the gap you are seeing?

[Edit]: I did get a sudden jump in scores from edit points that was likely added on Sunday evening. I did not do a lot of edits that day, so it’s likely from a backlog of previous efforts.

I notified Waze of a problem with the discrepancy a few weeks ago, they said they were aware and working on it.
I haven’t yet noticed any other problems although there was something on status.waze.com I think, this morning.

Most of my dashboard has been static since the 20th, it’s only the overall points total and ranking that’s been updated and in sync with the app.

Saw the update on status just now. It only affects some users.

Surprised I’m not one, as I always seem to have an issue with ‘if user = nnn’ cases, no matter where.

Guess that’s why I like Waze, it doesn’t pick on me

Hi,

Just saw the status page and that points issue wasn’t there this morning (or just before I posted this!).

I’m about 15700 points adrift!

Have to wait and see…

Des. . .

My dashboard now seems to be fully up to date.

Hi,

An improvement but still not up-to-date!
But I am now back to the 714 points adrift I have been for a month or two!

Des. . .

Same here:

At 12pm BST today (3 Sep 2012):
Dashboard: 1,175,790 points
Scoreboard: 1,177,365 points

The difference; 1,575 points.

If it was Petrol prices reporting it would be divisible by 8 but it isn’t (unless it is 197 petrol price reports and the missing point is a rounding error as I do seem to remember it always being one point out ages ago).

Hi,

The difference is increasing for me as well.
I contacted support about this last week, noting from them. So I have contacted them again yesterday.
I don’t hold out much hope!

Des. . .

Can anyone WHO HAS NOT updated petrol prices confirm what their difference is?

I would hope all regular Wazers have updated petrol prices by now. The feature will only be useful if we all keep the prices which we pass up to date.

Well my difference has increased today by 152 points.

This corresponds to 19 petrol price updates. I did do a lot yesterday but I didn’t keep count …

I’ll try and pop out later and do just one at my local station to see if it increases by 8 tomorrow.

Hi there,
I have never submitted a single fuel price report. We don’t have that feature in Germany yet.
Here’s my current score:
dashboard: 326079
scoreboard: 326189
difference: 110 points

I noticed the difference between the two some time ago but didn’t pay attention to whether it increased or not. But I am confident that the 110 points do not result from reporting fuel prices.

I only complained in a chit-chat about the price of 1.569€/liter for Diesel this morning…

Gordonski

Today it has increased by 9 points … I reported one petrol price yesterday.

8 points plus the rounding error?

No change in the difference this morning and I did not submit any petrol prices yesterday:

Dashboard: 1,183,980 points
Scoreboard: 1,185,716 points

Difference: 1,736 Points

Dashboard: 746,264 points
Scoreboard: 747,008 points
Difference: 144 Points (look like it is 18 petrol report)

I did but most of the time waze says ‘Sorry, there’s no GPS reception in this location. Make sure you are outdoors’ :?

Most of the time I just get the wrong price format error :expressionless:
