I’ve noticed that the total edit count hasn’t been updating since Monday. Also, the total doesn’t match the sum of the daily edits. A few colleagues and I have the same issue.
Has anyone else noticed the same issue?

Thank you for flagging this problem. I have filed an internal issue for this case, and the team is addressing it.
I have moved this report to the production bugs section so other editors can upvote it, and it will be more convenient to handle and update.

This happened to me as well. On Monday 15th June I recorded 1568 edits, as shown on my profile page. however the total edits only increased by 107 edits, 1461 being “lost”. The points awarded also only increased in line with the 107 edits.
Since then, the edits I have done have been recorded correctly.

I’m glad the issue has been resolved for you, but in my case it still hasn’t been updated. My total should be 994,232, but unfortunately it shows 984,375, which is a difference of 9,857 edits.

Hello.
I can confirm that I’m experiencing the same issue.
From what I’ve observed, the edit count appears to stop increasing when making modifications to roads (both drawing new roads and editing existing ones). However, edits to POIs are still being counted correctly and continue to increase the total edit points.
The issue seems to have started around June 17, when there were disruptions affecting several Waze platforms, if I recall correctly.
I have no idea how many points I may have lost since this bug appeared.

I am in touch with the team who are addressing this important bug.
They reported that the issue is right now on the front-end (visible part), as all edits are stored in the database, but the visible part hasn’t been updated in a timely manner in the profile section.

Could you please check if the edit counts is now displayed correctly in your profile?
The team has implemented a fix and based on their information the data should be displayed correctly. There might be some small discrapencies, which have been exsiting and before. This happens because different dashboard counters return daily changes in points and edits in a different way (including daily capping rules applied to replayed historical edits).

I checked my profile, but the edit count is still not correct.
My profile now shows 985722 edits. Based on my daily tracking table the total should be 996396 edits, including the 22 edits made today. There is a difference of 10674 edits.
I also have a table with edit counts recorded on different dates. If it helps, I can share this information. I can also provide similar data for other colleagues from Romania.
Please let me know if this information would be useful for the investigation.

Hello Everyone,
I would like to report a possible issue affecting the Waze Map Editor.
While editing the map, I noticed that my edits are successfully saved, but the “Map Edits” counter in my profile is not updated accordingly.
After a successful save, the total number of Map Edits should increase (either immediately or after the normal processing delay).
The edit is saved successfully, but the Map Edits counter remains unchanged. Even after refreshing the page, the total number of edits does not increase.
- The issue occurs consistently with multiple edits.
- The save operation completes successfully without any error messages.
- The edits appear to be accepted by the editor, but they are not reflected in the edit statistics.
- I have attached a screen recording demonstrating the issue. In the video, you can clearly see that the edit is saved successfully, yet the Map Edits counter does not change.
Could you please investigate whether this is a synchronization issue with the user statistics or a problem affecting the edit counting process?
(PS: This problem affect the beta editor to.)
