The links have been updated. Thanks for reporting!
Hi everyone!
On the Home Page, the link to the Mentorship Program leads to a form that has been discontinued.
Even though the new link is in the form description and on the Formal Mentorship Page, I think it would be a good idea to update the link on Wazeopedia to avoid unnecessary redirects.
Could you please check this?
Thanks in advance!
Adjusted, you can check it below or by accessing the Home Page.
Thanks @LFRRdeMFCS
Good afternoon! Reading here on Wazeopedia (Wikipost) about Permanent Alerts:
Familiarity Limitation:
I have a question: “…no more alerts NOR THE PIN on the map…”, from what I see in my app, for example, the Speed Bump “Pin” always appears even when passing by every day, which for me is great, but only the “alert” reappears every 21 days. Could it be that this has changed in the app?
This has changed; in the beginning, not even the pin appeared, but now it does. The Wazeopedia still needs to be updated.
Hi, @PatrickBLopes!
I just checked and the link is directing to the new form!

Thank you very much for the adjustment!
In the topic about Speed Bumps, I suggest removing the term sharp dip. I understand that the permanent alert is for reporting Speed Bumps, and a sharp dip is not a speed bump; if we leave this documented in Wazeopedia, we are encouraging editors to adapt alerts for uses other than those intended.
If we need a permanent alert for Sharp dip, we should request staff to create this type of alert.
I understand that the purpose of a speed bump is to guide the driver to reduce speed, as described in the post, and a sharp dip necessarily requires a speed reduction, yet normally these dips are not signposted.
In the following text, we also have the information that when this dip is at an intersection, it shouldn’t be mapped in that case, since the intersection itself already forces a prior reduction in speed (My understanding as well, for non-sharp cases.) (And in the Wiki example image, you can see that the dip isn’t sharp, which would indeed make adding a speed bump unnecessary.).
That would be my opinion.
If the Speed Bumps alert is ONLY to warn about Speed Bumps (so you can see the existence of speed bumps in the app, without the main goal of speed reduction), it would be the same as the temporary “Car stopped” alert in the app not being usable when the stopped vehicle is a truck or a bus. There would have to be another option for that type of stopped vehicle (Example: “Large vehicle stopped” in addition to “Car stopped”).
I understand that these dips are associated with corners and their primary purpose is to channel rainwater. In other words, they aren’t there as speed attenuators, but they end up serving that function for obvious reasons.
I completely agree.
I’m curious to know how, when, and who added this to Wazeopedia.
I know it was copied from the previous version. But I don’t remember this ever being discussed at any point. The tool was created with a very specific function: to alert about speed bumps.
A few days ago, the communities (LCs participated) were asked for new alerts that are needed. Dips, lane endings, pedestrian crossings on highways, among others, were requested.
This is under study.
If you want a dip alert, the correct place to request it is through the Suggestion Box. If there is a significant number of votes, it helps to get it implemented.
I’d like to know too! I’ve already searched the forum and couldn’t find it! Could it have been during the Discuss “blackout”?!!! ![]()
I completely agree! ![]()
I’ve already seen “lane merge” alerts on narrow bridges! ![]()
Replied privately to you all. @MauricioCGB @denysdgcf @IdomarCerutti
I completely agree! Speed bumps have nothing to do with dips!
The Junction Boxes topic is missing a mention of which locks a segment receives when it is part of a JB.
In the topic about Gas Station, I had a mentee who asked what a reference point is, which is mentioned in the text:
I suggest changing it to The place must be named with the name…
I’ve just created the Expolondrina event. We need help from local editors to verify any potential traffic changes in the surrounding area and carry out the edits.
Hello everyone! I’m posting this question here because I couldn’t find a specific place for it.
I recently completed the graduate mentorship, where the concept of the “dog leg” was discussed. My question is about the purpose of the dog leg—essentially, what is it for?—since it’s a relatively new guideline and there isn’t (at least that I could find) any content on Wazeopedia about the topic.

Hello @ivaldonm
I’ve created a topic with the subject and the explanatory video from @gamasi and @IdomarCerutti
