[Script] WME Fix UI Memorial Edition - v1.97.257 (20251107)

I’m experiencing this behavior when running FUME and a script that has a power button in it’s tab (GIS-L or DOT Cameras, for example): the bar above the tabs will die if I first click anywhere on one of those two scripts tabs except the power button on that tab. Once I click again but this time on the power button, the bar at the top goes away. I have to refresh to get the bar back.

Forgive me if i’ve got the wrong script.
Does FUME moving the Share Location button onto the bottom bar next to all the red Toolbox links?
If so it seems that using that link doesn’t included any selected segments in the urlUntitled.png

Hello

Please evaluate the following: when I select the option “Start calendars on Monday” on FUME, weekdays on the calendar of a road closure are shown not localized, and when I deselect it, they are shown properly localized - in this case to portuguese_portugal > See gif

Thanks in advance

New WME version has an incompatibility with the “Compress/enhance bars above the map” setting, causing a vertical scroll bar to appear and making the whole of WME to move up and down when using your mouse wheel (when zooming in and out).

I can confirm the above behavior. :frowning: I also notice that the left side bar is just a little too narrow, and things like MCs are a little wide for the sidebar.

Thanks, this is now fixed in the latest development build

Hi,
It seems that the swap panel functionality doesn’t work anymore in the current and beta WME. When on clicks on it, the side panel vanishes and the only manner to get it back is to reload the whole WME.swap_panel.png

Can one have a look at this please?

Many thanks in advance,

Eddy

Has it been released? I only see v1.21.257 from 8/20/2022.

Twister said it is fixed in the latest development build, my a is that he will release it to production when his testing is complete.

Yup - “development” builds are the ones I’ve got sat on my system at home whilst I work (develop) my way through however many bugfixes and functional changes I feel are necessary before I’m ready to release to the ravenous hordes (aka you lot ;)). In this case, given the amount of work I’m facing across almost all of my scripts thanks to the latest WME changes, I’m not going to even hint at when I might be ready to do so, though you can feel free to assume that the length of time it’s taken me to even drum up the enthusiasm to start looking into what’s needed is a reasonable indication as to how long it might take to see the next release…

For anyone who hasn’t already noticed other scripters comments along these lines in other script threads, take it as read that morale amongst the scripting community isn’t particularly high at the moment as we come to terms with the impact to our scripts and scripting in general of the ongoing behind the scenes changes in WME. I’m not ready to throw in the towel just yet, but I’m also closer to doing so now than I’ve ever been during my 10 years writing WME scripts.

I heard that Waze will start paying a monthly salary to people that, like you, have a major contribution to the community  … so, please, consider not to do so

I’m joking, like you know, and from what I have been reading, I understand that the moral isn’t high as you said! Whatever the future holds for us, there are many people out there that will always have a debt of gratitude towards people like you.

Has someone a workaround for this? It’s a little bit annoying to use the WME with that issue.

I was just wondering how to fix this and disabling the option fixed it for me. Thanks.

Is it possible for FUME to adjust the height/width of the WME screen since the most recent WME release causes you to scroll up/down and have a shortened side panel.

1.22.257 changes:

  • Remove floating buttons no longer trashes permalink
  • No scrollbar when using topbar compression
  • Plays nicely with TrustedHTML
  • Plays nicely with GIS-L, DOT Cameras etc.
  • Panel swapping works again
  • ‘Start calendars on Monday’ uses localised day abbreviations

I think that covers all of the problems that’ve been reported since the last update, though given how many fixes I’ve had to do this time (thank you EVER so much to the WME devs…) I apologise if any have been overlooked - please give me a gentle nudge if so.

This is a great list of improvements. I’m trying it out now and its nice. Thank you for continuing to work on this important script!

Latest update seems to have disabled the script entirely, at least on Firefox. I noticed this error in the console:

Same here. Script is active, but doesn’t run in FF.

On Firefox try using Violentmonkey instead of Tampermonkey. I’ve heard Tampermonkey has issues with FF now. I only use FF with a couple scripts and they were not working with Tampermonkey but work fine with Violentmonkey.

Just tried Violentmonkey instead of Tampermonkey. Result is the same.
