First of all - happy 2014, and congratulations on the amazing work you’ve been doing. Indonesia is now under self management, thanks to your efforts. A special “thank you” is due to ci2212, who’s been leading the community and doing a great job at it.
As the Indonesian community takes the next step forward, I wanted to talk a little about champs. Unlike editing ranks, which are based on the number and quality of the user edits, “Champ” is a title that reflects the user’s involvement in the community, and his leadership when it comes to educating new users, setting guidelines and codes of conduct etc.
Champs take on various responsibilities, such as acting as coordinators opposite Waze HQ, promoting new features and so forth. They are the community’s leaders and representatives.
So it’s important to note that being a great editor and being a champ are not necessarily related. Both are worthy goals, and each user should decide which one of them - and maybe both - are appealing to him.
On this day, July 1st 2014, we are welcoming new Champs of the Indonesian Waze Community. These Champs are selected based on their contribution and enthusiasm towards Wazers around them. The newly appointed Champs would play a slightly different roles this time. They are assigned to watch over a major area and hopefully would be easier to reach and help editors. The champs are: (Username - Area Assigned)
rulikoto - Sumatra elcitia - Jawa heruya - Kalimantan maderioo - Bali dan Nusa Tenggara leo_jhn - Sulawesi dan the eastern part of Indonesia
If you reside in one of these area, please direct your question beside the UNLOCK Request to the appropriate Champ. Do not worry at all, they won’t bite Happy Wazing!
Hope with this new champs, there will be more new editor that have knowledge in adding and editing new road, based on their area. And with them as a champ area (i hope not wrong), who have a lot of knowledge in editing, they will be a good teacher for a new editor…

Welcoming wazer titosd as a Champ in the Indonesian Waze Community. He contributes flawlessly in the community in both official and unofficial forums. He would also act as an Island manager along with Champ leo_jhn in managing the Sulawesi and Eastern part of Indonesia. Congratulation bro!
