Steps to reproduce this issue:
I have had an issue linking Google pins to Waze places with two Waze pins now. These Google results show up in the Waze app as routable places, but they don’t link properly as an External Provider in Waze.
This park in AK has an unlinked Google place with venue ID EiNLYXJlbiBIb3JuYWRheSBQYXJrLCBIb21lciwgQUssIFVTQSIuKiwKFAoSCWuZ0kNyMsFWETR9fF4P-7srEhQKEgnPWoan7i3BVhG7c-dx7ZQuHw. This can be found by searching “Karen Hornaday Park” in the External Providers search box.
And this MARTA station in GA has an unlinked Google place with venue ID: EitOb3J0aCBTcHJpbmdzIE1BUlRBLCBTYW5keSBTcHJpbmdzLCBHQSwgVVNBIi4qLAoUChIJbQRV2QcM9YgRq7RVZ35QVyISFAoSCTHCosAdDPWIER3eAmfy-ump. This can be found by searching “North Springs MARTA” in the External Providers search box.
This seems to be an issue with Google venues that start with Ei in the ID, which is different from the Ch venues that are typical. This causes an issue because drivers may select the invalid Google pin that we can’t link to a Waze place and receive poor routing as a result, especially for high traffic venues like the MARTA station.
There is an old bug report in the WME Beta Bugs section here. I am hoping we can revisit this as an issue.
