Speed camera alerts

Hi there, is there a way for someone to edit where speed cameras always have a notification and alert when approaching them rather than only if you’re going over the speed limit?

Hello!

Speed Cameras should produce an alert automatically when you’re approaching them for as long as you have the app open while driving. If you log onto the app on your device, go into your settings, then click on alerts and reports, then click reports, then click cameras, there will be a drop-down menu of all available camera alert options to choose how you want those alerts displayed to you.

I have checked each and every type of alert and all options are switched on, but still very intermittent when alerting via audio (alerts visually on screen only) when navigating but never alerts via audio when driving in roaming mode i.e. with no destination set. This used to work flawlessly until it was broken late 2024.

I’ve always known that you have to have a route active in order to receive those types of alerts, but I hardly ever free roam with it.

The issue is that bizarrely the app only gives a voice alert if you are going over the speed limit. This is useless in the UK as with smart motorways the speed limit can be set lower than 70mph and even though you are driving at 70 and therefore 10 mph over the speed limit you won’t get an audio alert. PLEASE WAVE SORT THIS TERRIBLE FEATURE OUT SO SPEED CAMERA ALWAYS GIVE AN AUDIO ALERT

In Australia it worked in roaming mode the way I explained up until it stopped.(at least for me anyway YMMV).
Even now whilst navigating it’s hit and miss whether it alerts me or not when going through the same mobile phone camera each morning on the way to work. Just wish they would fix it back to the way it was.
