The Speed Camera audible Voice announcement is not working reliably, although the camera placements are identical - Speed, lock, camera direction & road placement-.
Any Idea why is this happening? How to fix it?

N.B. The visual alert is working reliably with all cameras.
Does this behavior happen when you are above the speed limit on all cameras?
Coud you please send some examples?
To clarify, audible alert only comes when speed is over the speed set to camera about 500 meters before it. If speed is under it, there will be only visual alert.

After reading your post, I’ve been testing another tip for the past few days. By removing the speed limit from the camera, the voice alerts will always be audible, even if you’re driving below the speed limit. :idea:
N.B. ١) Audible camera warnings are affected by the speed Limit placed on the camera NOT the road.
2) Do NOT place zero “0” in the camera speed limit, MUST leave it blank.
Is there a setting to change the default behaviour?
I want an audio warning all the time. A lot can happen in 500 metres and you don’t always see visual banners.

How do you do this? I would like to be notified of all cameras regardless of if I’m below the speed limit or not… is this possible?
This is the worst feature that Waze has ever forced upon us. We NEED an option to keep audible notifications on no matter our speed. These tickets are $100-$200 each!! This is the #1 reason I use Waze.
It appears there is no way to do this currently. Which is super upsetting. I wonder if I can roll back to an old version and disable updates.
I’ve just raised a ticket on this. Voice announcements for fixed speed cameras used to work perfectly last year. Then they started glitching into different voices and now they’ve stopped working entirely. Average speed cameras and police warnings are still being announced but not fixed speed cameras. Given this has been an issue and discussed on forums now for several months, I am surprised it hasn’t been fixed as I’m sure this is a critical feature used by many in these times. I have tried reloading the app, changing the voice and entering the ##@cctts cache clear code but this does not fix the problem. This was the main reason I was using Waze so unless it’s fixed I’ll need to switch to Google Maps.

The voice only works when the vehicle speed exceeds the speed limit set for the camera approximately 500 meters before reaching the camera. If the speed is below this limit, there is only a visual notification. Another user suggested that by removing the speed limit from the camera, voice notifications will always be heard, even if you are driving under the speed limit
i deleted and reinstalled the app. now the voice noitifcation is back for speed/redlight cameras etc. agreed they kick in when you are exceending only within a certain minimumn range. if you speed within that minimum range it is tool ate.
Removing speed limit from the camera NOT the road will always allow the voice notification, ever if you’re speeding under the allowed speed limit. I tested this in my country and it’s working perfectly.

I’m having the same issue especially with custom voices but that’s fixed by going to your custom voice scrolling down to the default voice and match the gender :lol:
:lol: male custom voice … use a default male voice … But as far as the alerts for speeding cameras this is a huge issue as the smart highways in the the UK can change the speed limit in a instant because of calming traffic accidents ahead etc … So the electronic speed display on the overhead signs corelate to the fixed speeding cameras and THIS IS A HUGE ISSUE . Can someone from Waze look into it please Enable the audio alerts regardless of speed limit etc … Just create a new option in the alerts section … On ALWAYS same as for other warnings
I had a hard time finding reports of this, so I wanted to leave a comment to help boost and in appreciation of OP/Replies. I also noticed the “speed camera” alert voice changed (and changed to say speed trap) and then disappeared a few weeks later. “Red light camera reported ahead” also went silent this week (there was a new update with the different hazard reporting list)
Last night, after finding this thread, I deleted the app completely and reinstalled. The sound has returned, with yet a 3rd voice to alert “speed trap reported ahead”!
Ok so how can we adjust the speed camera speed limit?
I feel that this is a Mandela effect situation going on here with this whole topic . It wouldn’t make sense for the audio warning to be triggered if you’re not speeding above the limit . I spent like a hour playing around with a app called loctito on android to simulate a real time drive and make Waze think I’m driving … link below

Bottom line in regards to the smart highways that change the speed limits on certain sections of the highway depending on traffic conditions … Well we just have to pay mor attention to the road then the speed camera warning … In alot of situations Waze does inform about slow downs … So … I guess we can’t have our cake and eat it too … Unless the developers feel that this should be implemented … Speed camera warning on demand regardless of speed
