but I get an error when I save the changes:
“You have no permissions to make some of the changes”
Which changes? How do I remove the changes for which I do not have permission?
Also, Wineham doesn’t exist in the database and it won’t allow me to add it.

Are you trying to add an External Provider link? If so, that is the cause of your error. Level 1 editors are not allowed to add these links, but the map editor error message is misleading. There are other reasons why you couldn’t save a new place, but this is the most common problem for newer editors.
You’ll also find that you have to be a senior editor to add a new city. For some reason, Wineham has never been added to the map - I’ve done so, and you’ll be able to add the pub and an address of Wineham as the city. As you’ve only previously added 7 places (according to your profile), your place addition will be shown on the editing map with a flag to show it needs to be confirmed. Once you’ve added the pub, it would help if you came back and added to this thread to request it be confirmed.
It is really helpful if you can add a link to the location on the Waze editing map. There’s a “permalink” icon on the editing map which allows you to select segments or a point and copy the url to allow you to paste it into a forum message.
