as there’s a new road very close to my house that just opened a few weeks ago and when I drove on it I ended up “munching” I decided to try my hand at editing. So I thought I read up enough not to mess it up too badly, found that the road had already been added to the map but that there was a missing junction, fixed that, fixed a couple other little things (added city names where they were missing, added more info on some local gas stations, changed the name of a supermarket that was rebranded etc.) I see today that the live map and the app maps are updated with some but not all of my changes. Do some of these take time to propagate? Is there an approval process for certain kinds of changes? Or is this a sign that I didn’t read the info as well as I thought I did and that some of my edits were incorrect? The map editor still shows all my changes as best I can tell, they just didn’t propagate to the live map on the web browser or the app maps on my phone.
The road change did apparently take effect because the shortest way from my house to a local performance shop is now to take the new road and turn at the junction that was missing and when I just tried to navigate there the app sent me on the correct route.
Sometimes, but all the changes are typically processed together, so they should all take the same time to propagate. Some changes like city names or landmarks may update on a different schedule.

OK, I think that you are right that landmarks update more slowly (different files or layers than the base map?) This morning the grocery store that I changed showed up with the new name.
Well, maybe there is a problem… I see my edits on my phone, but even the grocery store that changed names isn’t showing on the live map online (but if you go into “update map” all the changes are still there.)
The live map has always been a problem. Although its been updating better recently maybe landmarks aren’t showing that recent. If its showing on your phone then all is good.
If I correctly remember what’s been stated in the past, the maps on the client are updated if they’re more than a given amount of time old or there is a route planned through a given map tile. I thought that all the map tiles along a planned route were updated when the route is driven. Maybe I misunderstood or it has changed in one of the many updates since I heard that.
That makes sense then, I was just zooming and scrolling on my device… didn’t need to navigate anywhere because I was working in my immediate neighborhood.
