A question of etiquette

Hi there,

What happens if someone comes to the NT on holiday, business etc and then gets access to edit roads. They then proceed to change roads or add things like small turn lanes etc, which actually overcomplicate junctions?

Using satellite images is the other one I have found as I was dealing with a map issue, drove the new roads in the area to pave them after replying to the issue, but before I can get them on the map the request was closed using the image which didn’t reflect what is now on the ground. Also no message left by the person that closed it.

Just small, annoying stuff, but the roads I am coming across that have been added I am finding as I drive around. We have a lot of new roads going in all the time here as the area expands and so getting it right is really important.

Annoyed rant over. Just feeling a little frustrated.

Thanks
Kate

Hi Kate,
Late response obviously. You are the local editor so I would just revert them to what you think is right. You could also PM the editor if you think they can learn something from their mistake.

Cheers,
Gav…

I would definitely PM the editor. Got a change to a local road in my area that’s been working just fine, until an editor from Belgium (!) made some changes a couple of weeks back. I’ve PMed & waiting a response, but same sort of issue. If no response, I’ll just change it back.
