Complete Map of UK Area Managers

I’ve been trying to pull the Area Managers out of old Cartouche before, but I hadn’t managed to figure it out.

…Until today! Here are the managed areas for England and Wales and Scotland.
(Images are about 100Kb, and pulled directly from Waze’s servers. Click to zoom in)

Okay, so they’re not pretty, but it does at least show which bits aren’t covered.

(If you’d like to manually add your area to Google Maps, see this thread: http://www.waze.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=15640)

That big green-brown box that covers most of England screws it up. What does it look like without that?

That’s ‘bjwiz’ I think. Unfortunately there’s no way to remove some of the boxes.

The big, green, pointy shape that covers the South East is ‘xteejx’.

Nice work, Tim! Scotland’s odd in that it’s missing Kieran (essentially the same area as me which is maybe why!?

Also points out, as you say, the uncovered areas in England-shire. Should we aim to get this filled in wherever possible? I’m happy to take some on if it means URs will be captured! (Really need UR lists back in WME!)

I’m happy to take on the rest of Wiltshire that I haven’t claimed yet - I’ve fixed most of the major routes already (maybe excepting the NW). I would be expanding to this over time anyway.

I’m also happy to take Worcestershire and help out in Hampshire as I know those areas quite well.

I think country managers can probably keep an eye on the uncovered areas, as and when they get a chance.

I’m still working on pulling out the UR list from the map, though I might just wait to see what Waze has to offer…

Actually that big green thing is me. Most of the SE. I guess they messed it up slightly when I gave them several permalinks lol

I’m happy to take more on if need be, I see most of Wales is managerless since the purge.

There are a few managers missing from the map tho. PhilNaughton is missing from Manchester.

Interesting.

I can see that I still have two overlapping areas despite support assuring me it was a single combined area.

That’ll be why I’ve never been able to see my area’s UR lists in cartouche. Consequently I’ve never been bothered about extending it as I’ve been a country manager for a long time so there was little point while support could not fix the cartouche UR problem.

I’ve been thinking for a while that I really ought to be AM for all of Lincolnshire to process URs but was waiting to see what they do in papyrus.

Good work Tim!

Hi,

A couple of my chunks are not showing either.
I’ve been working slowly on Derby and have quite a chunk of Herefordshire as well.

Des. . .
