I didn’t get your point, Augusto. Do you believe that the nomenclature Road Merger (formerly Lane Merge) is not appropriate?
My argument was based on the new rules that define that this type of alert should no longer be mapped in locations where we only have a reduction in the number of lanes
Brazil_Wazeopedia1:
When NOT to add a Lane Merge alert?
When only one lane joins another road. This includes, but is not limited to, ramp exits with an exclusive continuous lane, intermediate segments of interchanges with overpasses, and “Y” intersections or other shallow-angle junctions that function as priority roads.
where we now have a specific alert for this
Brazil_Wazeopedia1:
When to map?
Unexpected locations: lane endings after a curve with limited visibility.
Ending of the fastest lane: the need to move from the left lane to the right lane in right-hand traffic countries (or from the right lane to the left lane in left-hand traffic countries) is more dangerous, as it is a less common situation and involves entering a slower traffic flow at higher speeds.
What not to map?
Any and all right-lane endings with good visibility and adequate signage.
Short acceleration or merge lanes.
During roadworks that block lanes or temporarily change the traffic lane configuration.
